Francis Cheka's Real-Life Film Coming Soon! |

A new sports film that documents and portrays the real-life story of Tanzanian boxer, Francis Cheka will be launched on Eid Day. Speaking to the media, Amon Ntevi of RPE said the new film will show a mix of never seen before footage of Cheka's daily life as well as semi-fictional events from when he was young to present.

After taking part in the NBA's Basketball Without Borders Africa camp in Senegal, Hasheem Thabeet will be holding Basketball clinics for youth players in Dar es Salaam. The programs starting from 12th of August at the Don Bosco grounds will bring together 400 youths from all over Tanzania.

Jan Poulsen unveils new Taifa Stars squad |

The new Tanzanian head coach, Jan Poulsen, unveiled his 27-man provisional squad last week with Juma Kaseja and Athumani Iddi “Chuji” regaining their places. The duo were integral part of initial Marcio Maximo’s squad, but the Brazilian moved to kick them out claiming that they were undisciplined and unpatriotic. Apart from calling up the duo, the Danish coach maintained most of the players who were regular in the Maximo’s squad.
